Hampshire housebuilder hosts networking event to connect local charities

A Hampshire housebuilder has hosted a networking event to unite the region’s charities and help them secure more funding opportunities.

Barratt David Wilson Homes has returned to the Utilita Bowl in Hedge End to deliver its annual charity networking event.

A platform for local good causes to make new connections, representatives from leading charities Rowans Hospice, Heartbeat, Home-Start and more were in attendance.

The event is part of the housebuilder’s commitment to partnering with local charities to help create a positive impact for the communities it builds within. In 2025, it raised more than £250,000 for local charities and community projects in just six months.

Most recently, the division announced a busy year of fundraising ahead for its 2026 and 2027 chosen charities Amelia’s Rainbow and Rowans Hospice.

Marketing Manager at Barratt David Wilson Homes, Megan Hamlyn, said: “We welcomed back charity partners both old and new to celebrate their work and discuss how we can best support them. Our charity networking event means they can share new projects and build valuable connections. By working with a wide network of charity partners, we can make a big difference.”

Barratt David Wilson Homes is currently building homes across Hampshire including Pebble Walk in Hayling Island and Forest Walk in Whiteley.
