Hampshire Cricket Foundation’s Lashes auction raises £40,000 to support young people
Hampshire Cricket Foundation’s annual Lashes Ladies Charity Lunch has raised £40,000 to support vital community initiatives across the region.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this year’s event – held on 7 May – marked a milestone for the Foundation, bringing together supporters, partners and local businesses for a day of fundraising and celebration.
The fundraising total was driven by the popular Lashes auction, which ran online ahead of the event and featured more than 25 prizes. From exclusive live experiences and luxury getaways to sporting hospitality and unique memorabilia, the auction once again captured the generosity of the local community.

Headline prizes included sold-out concert tickets, international cricket hospitality at Utilita Bowl, luxury travel experiences and bespoke jewellery, with strong bidding helping the Foundation reach its £40,000 target.
In addition, guests at the lunch had the opportunity to participate in a special anniversary raffle, which further boosted the fundraising efforts on the day.
All proceeds raised will go directly to Hampshire Cricket Foundation, which supports thousands of young people each year through programmes focused on sport, education and community engagement. The funds will help expand access to cricket and provide opportunities for those who may otherwise face barriers to participation.
Carole Harwood, who is part of the event organisation team alongside Mandy Bransgrove, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have raised £40,000 at this year’s Lashes Ladies Charity Lunch. Reaching this milestone in our 10th year is a testament to the continued support of our partners, donors and the local community. These funds will make a real difference to the lives of young people across the region.”
The Lashes Ladies Charity Lunch has become a highlight in the Foundation’s calendar, growing year-on-year and reinforcing its role as a key fundraising event for grassroots and community initiatives.
