Easter joy brings generations together at care home
Glorious Easter fun was had at a local care home
Bere Grove Care Home, Gales Rise, Horndean were delighted to welcome families and friends in the community to join our free, egg-cellent Easter Egg Hunt, filling the home and our beautiful gardens with laughter, sunshine and excitement.

Over a glorious couple of days, families gathered to take part in the celebrations, with little ones eagerly searching high and low for hidden eggs and chocolate prizes. The gardens were alive with smiles and springtime cheer as children enjoyed the thrill of the hunt in the warm sunshine.
Once their hunt was complete, families were able to come together to relax and enjoy a selection of cake and refreshments. The celebrations continued with a creative colouring competition, which proved just as popular with the young visitors. Adding a special touch to the event, two of Bere Grove’s residents took on the important role of judging. After much careful consideration, the prize was awarded to a talented three-year-old, whose vibrant and colourful picture captured everyone’s admiration as well as an older creative seven-year-old, it was impossible to just pick one!

The event was a wonderful example of the power of bringing generations together, creating meaningful moments and lasting memories for residents, families, and visitors alike.
Graham Allen, General Manager commented: “It has been absolutely wonderful to welcome so many families from our local community into over the Easter holidays. Seeing grandparents, parents, and children spending quality time together in our gardens, sharing laughter and creating memories alongside our residents, has been truly special. Events like these mean so much to everyone here.”
It truly was a lovely couple of days, filled with joy, community spirit, and the magic of Easter.
