David Pepper brings Union Jack fun to The Fernes

There was a wonderful atmosphere at The Fernes Care Home in Fareham as residents enjoyed an afternoon of music, laughter and plenty of patriotic spirit when entertainer David Pepper came along to perform some much-loved old-time favourites.

The residents were ready for the occasion, dressing up in Union Jack hats and waving flags as David got everyone singing along to songs they knew and loved. From familiar classics to timeless favourites, the music brought back treasured memories and had residents tapping their feet, clapping along and joining in with the singing.

The room was filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of energy as David’s performance brought everyone together and truly brought energy into the care home.

It was a fantastic opportunity for residents to enjoy the songs of their younger years, reminisce about happy memories and simply have fun together.

Gemma Woodford Activities Lead for The Fernes Care Home said: “It was wonderful to see the home come alive with music and laughter. David had everyone singing along, and the Union Jack hats and flags added an extra special touch. Days like this are all about creating happy memories, bringing people together and making sure our residents have plenty of opportunities to enjoy themselves.”

With music filling the room and everyone joining in, it was certainly an afternoon to remember at The Fernes!
