Boundary Oak Pupils Host International Global Olympics Event
Fareham pupils hosted students from seven countries in celebration of sport, teamwork and global friendship.
Pupils from Boundary Oak School recently hosted the Globeducate Global Olympics, bringing together young people from across the world in a celebration of sport, teamwork and cultural exchange.
Held as part of the international Globeducate network, the event welcomed 180 pupils from 24 schools across seven countries, with Boundary Oak pupils in Years 6-9 representing both their school and the wider Hampshire community.

The Global Olympics provided local pupils with the opportunity to compete in a variety of sporting activities while building friendships with students from different cultures and backgrounds. Alongside the sporting competition, pupils took part in collaborative activities designed to encourage leadership, resilience and communication skills beyond the classroom.
For Boundary Oak School, an independent school in Hampshire, known for its ethos “Where We Flourish”, the event reflected the school’s commitment to offering enriching opportunities that help pupils grow in confidence in their learning, personally and equipping them with the skills to become globally-minded young people.
One participating pupil said: “It was an amazing experience to meet students from different countries and work together as a team. I learned so much both on and off the sports field.”
Headteacher, Sophie Savage at Boundary Oak School, said the experience highlighted the importance of giving young people opportunities to broaden their horizons through education and enrichment activities. They commented:

“The Globeducate Global Olympics provides a unique opportunity for students to develop confidence, resilience and international perspectives beyond the classroom. We are incredibly proud of how our pupils represented Boundary Oak School and the values of our Hampshire community throughout the event.”
Boundary Oak School continues to place a strong emphasis on school enrichment opportunities, combining academic learning with co-curricular experiences that help pupils flourish both personally and socially. From outdoor learning and leadership activities to international collaboration projects, the school aims to provide students with experiences that prepare them for life beyond the classroom.
The success of the Global Olympics marks another proud moment for the Hampshire school community and reflects Boundary Oak’s ongoing commitment to pupil development, student achievement and meaningful global connections.
