Bere Grove care home invites community to celebrate National Cream Tea Day
A care home is opening its doors to the community for an afternoon of cream teas
Residents and staff at Bere Grove Care Home are looking forward to celebrating National Cream Tea Day on Friday 26 June and are warmly inviting members of the local community, professionals, carers, and key workers to come to Bere Grove for Cream Tea.
The event will take place at the Horndean home from 2.30pm to 3.30pm and guests will be treated to a delicious selection of teas, freshly baked scones, jam, and cream in the welcoming surroundings of our home. The staff are hoping the weather is warm enough to sit in the gardens.
The celebration is an opportunity to meet residents and staff, enjoy good company, and experience the warm and friendly atmosphere that Bere Grove has to offer.

While the event is free to attend, the home is asking for a donation to Barchester’s Charitable Foundation, which supports older people and adults living with disabilities, helping them to connect with their local communities and reduce isolation. The Foundation has supported a number of local organisations, including Making Space in Leigh Park, through grants that help fund valuable community projects and services.

Graham Allen, general manager, Bere Grove Care Home said: “We are delighted to be celebrating National Cream Tea Day and would love to welcome members of our community to join us. It promises to be a lovely afternoon filled with conversation, laughter, and of course plenty of tea and scones, all while supporting a fantastic cause.”
Places are limited and booking is essential. Anyone wishing to attend should reserve a place by Friday 20 June by emailing [email protected].
