Bere Grove Care Home in Horndean offers free falls prevention workshop for community
Bere Grove Care Home, Gales Rise, Horndean is inviting local older adults, families and carers to a free Fall Prevention Workshop on Thursday 17 September at 2.30pm.

The informative session will be delivered by Sarah Bennett from Body and Mind Physiotherapy, who will share practical advice on reducing the risk of falls and maintaining independence in later life.
Falls can happen in a matter of seconds, yet their impact can be life-changing. For older adults, a fall can lead to serious injury, loss of confidence and, in some cases, hospital admission. During the workshop, Sarah will explore the common causes of falls, simple preventative measures that can be taken at home, and techniques to improve strength, balance and mobility.

The event forms part of Bere Grove Care Home's ongoing commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of older people in the local community.
Graham Allen, General Manager at Bere Grove Care Home said: “Falls are one of the most common causes of injury among older adults, but many falls can be prevented. We are delighted to welcome Sarah to share her expert knowledge and practical tips that could help people stay safe, active and independent for longer.”
The workshop is free to attend, but places are limited.
