A new chapter begins for Fareham Meon Rotary Club!

Fareham Meon Rotary Club have named their new President Elect. When current President David Fawcett’s term of office ends in June 2027, he will be succeeded by Brian Edwards.

Brian commented “I am honoured to have been selected as President Elect of Fareham Meon. I hope to build on the rich history of this fantastic club and in my own small way ensure it continues to thrive and grow.”

Brian whose achievements include helping set up a foodbank in Petersfield is an active member of the Salvation Army as well as being a proud Rotarian and will follow in the footsteps of his wife Chris Edwards who was Fareham Meon President in 2024/25.

Current President David Fawcett added “Brian is everything that epitomises a Rotarian, he lives by our motto of Service Above Self. I know he will be a fantastic President, and I look forward to work in step with him over the next 10 months of my Presidency.”

Fareham Meon recently expanded by welcoming three new members – Marion Lawless, Sue Song and Jim Roberson – which will enable the club to further strengthen their community engagement and support for educational initiatives.

David added “With Marion, Sue and Jim joining our ranks coupled with Brian stepping up to President Elect we are certainly in very good shape as we celebrate our 45th anniversary."
