The classic 90s blockbuster Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, starring Kevin Costner and Alan Rickman, was one of the highest-grossing movies of the decade at $390million.
And anyone old enough will remember how the Bryan Adams hit single (Everything I Do) I Do It For You was the soundtrack to the summer of 1991.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves legacy

The 1991 epic was a box office smash when it landed in cinemas, becoming one of the defining Robin Hood movies of all time.
Costner’s take on the heroic outlaw, beside Alan Rickman’s unforgettable turn as the Sheriff of Nottingham and Morgan Freeman as Azeem, made it a true fan favourite.
And of course, who could forget Bryan Adams’ chart-topping ballad “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You”, which spent a staggering 16 weeks at No. 1 in the UK charts - a record that still stands.
Where is Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves showing?

Great TV is showing Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
When will Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves start?
Great TV is showing Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves on Sunday night (November 23) as their Sunday night film, from 6.05pm.
The epic adventure film runs for 135 minutes but is slated for 175 minutes on Great TV to allow for ads.
The classic film sees Nobleman crusader Robin of Locksley return to England following years abroad fighting during the Crusades.
Upon arrival, Robin discovers his father dead in the ruins of his family estate, killed by the vicious Sheriff of Nottingham.
Robin joins forces with outlaws like Little John and Will Scarlett to save the kingdom from the villainous Sheriff.
Over the years, there have been many versions of the Robin Hood legend - from Russell Crowe’s gritty 2010 film to Taron Egerton’s 2018 action reboot - but few have captured the magic quite like Prince of Thieves.
The film’s return to TV comes just as a brand new Robin Hood series has landed on MGM Plus via Amazon Prime Video. The fresh take on the legend stars Game of Thrones actor Sean Bean and Australian star Jack Patten, with Lydia Peckham playing Priscilla of Nottingham.
The 10-part series, which premiered on November 2, will drop new episodes weekly until the season finale on December 28 - perfect for fans looking for a modern twist on the timeless tale.
While the new Robin Hood series is now available on Amazon Prime Video - you will need another subscription to watch it.
