Watercress line in Hampshire launches magical illuminated train show for Christmas

The world’s first digital LED train has started journeys across Hampshire as part of a new magical Christmas experience.

The Steam Illuminations shows have begun on the Mid Hants Railway Watercress Line, offering visitors the chance to see a ‘unique, world first, pixel mappable digital LED train’.

The incredible light show is displayed on a stream train, which has 13,174 fully controllable colour mixing LED lights and LED wristbands, as it rolls along the tracks between Alresford and Alton.

Families can sit back and relax on one of the line’s other steam trains, giving them the perfect view to marvel at the festive light show.
