Taste of Wickham food festival to return with more than 80 stalls and entertainment
The Taste of Wickham food festival will return next month
A mouthwatering food festival is returning for another year of food, music and more.
Last year the Taste of Wickham Festival cancelled as heavy rain battered the area. Organisers will be hoping that the same does not happen this year, as there are more than 80 stalls booked in, plus a day’s worth of entertainment, including music and children’s fun.
The festival will be held in Wickham’s mediaeval square, which is one of the largest village squares that remains. It is on Sunday, September 13 from 11am to 4pm.

A statement from the organisers said: “Stalls will offer amazing food, from Greek gyros to Meon Valley hog roast, New Forest Shortbread to the Village Bakery, hand crafted cakes to charcuterie. Local makers will be showcasing their crafts, jewellery, plants, homewares and much more.

“On the main stage, visitors will enjoy non-stop music and entertainment, with catchy sea shanties from the Shanty Buoys, toe-tapping tunes from Spinnaker Brass, uplifting local community choirs, a family circus performance and a dance-along line dancing demonstration.
“A whole area of the festival is devoted to family fun! Children can master circus skills, get creative with hands-on crafts and meet a real-life princess - all for free. Don’t miss The Bubbles Man and his giant bubble shows, circus performances throughout the day, face painting and small rides for little ones.”
Entry is free, with parking for a donation.
