'Holidays are coming' - Iconic Coca-Cola Christmas Truck to visit Gunwharf this weekend
An iconic Christmas truck is heading to Portsmouth this weekend in what has become a popular festive tradition.
The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck will be pulling up in Gunwharf Quays on Sunday, December 14 between 12 and 8pm as part of its tour across the nation. When once it’s advert on TV signified the beginning of the Christmas season for many, now its arrival in towns and cities across the country is a popular yuletide celebration.
Visitors in Gunwharf can expect the celebrated to truck to dazzle with twinkling lights providing people with a backdrop to capture the moment with a selfie, which this year can be turned into unique personalised baubles. There will of course be a selection of drinks to enjoy including Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coke Zero or Diet Coke.

Elodie Peribere, senior marketing director for Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland, said: “Coca-Cola remains synonymous with Christmas, and we're delighted to bring back our iconic Truck Tour. This year, we’re encouraging everyone to ‘Refresh Your Holidays’ and take a well-deserved pause to create uplifting moments with loved ones.”
As part of the tour Coca-Cola will be making a donation to the food redistribution charity, FareShare, which will be the equivalent of £1 million meals.
Elodie added: “Our continued partnership with FareShare is incredibly important to us, and we hope to make this Christmas a little more meaningful for thousands of people across the country.”
Graham Kelly, Head of Fundraising at FareShare said: “We are so grateful to Coca-Cola for their continued support for FareShare. This incredibly generous donation means this festive season the equivalent of 1 million meals will reach people and communities in need.
“Every day, food from FareShare reaches over 8,000 charities across the UK, from after-school and community lunch clubs to homelessness shelters, providing nutritious meals alongside access to vital services.
“Coca-Cola’s support for FareShare is instrumental in strengthening communities and improving lives in every region of the UK. Together, we can create lasting change, one meal at a time.”
If you are unable to make it to Gunwharf on Sunday, Coca-Cola is running a festive on-pack promotion across Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Coca-Cola Original Taste, and Diet Coke packs, offering a chance to win thousands of festive gifts by scanning QR codes.
