Goodwood Festival of Speed misses out of Red Arrows displays with the elite team in the United States
A fan favourite is this year missing from the Festival of Speed schedule
Festival of Speed fans will miss out on a usual highlight of the spectacular event at Goodwood this weekend with the Red Arrows not part of the celebrations.
The elite team usually carries out flypasts at the event over the weekend portion of the four-day event, forming a special moment for fans at the event - as well as local residents in Hampshire and Sussex who keep an eye out for the team on their flight path.
But this year the Red Arrows are missing from the event as the team is currently in the United States of America on a five-week tour to celebrate America 250 - the anniversary of its independence from Britain.
It is hoped they will return as normal next year.
