'We apologise': The Rocky Horror Picture Show actress no longer attending Portsmouth Comic Con

An actress will no longer appear at a major event this weekend

A Rocky Horror Picture Show actress will no longer be a guest at Portsmouth Comic Con this weekend.

Irish actress and singer, Patricia Quinn, best known for her iconic role as Magenta in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and the original stage musical that inspired it in 1973, was due to appear at the two-day event in Guildhall on May 2 and 3.

But the event organisers have confirmed the 81-year-old will no longer attend.

Despite Quinn’s cancellation, the event will welcome Tom Rosenthal, best known for his roles in Plebs and Friday Night Dinner, and Doctor Who stars Anita Dobson and Jemma Redgrave, as well as Julian Glover, Jonathan Hyde and more.

Guests will also have the opportunity to meet a list of authors including Juno Dawson, Eliza Raine, Wren James, Josh Winning Jennifer Thorne, Lewis Hancox and Maggie Stiefvater, all of whom will be doing book signings across the event.
