Country on the Coast makes eagerly awaited return to Southsea with stellar line-up
Award-winning country musicians will take to the stage this weekend as a popular festival returns
Country on the Coast, which was founded in 2019 to bridge the gap in the regional music scene, will take over The Gaiety, at South Parade Pier, between April 17 and April 19 for a weekend of live music, food and drink and fantastic traders.

Fresh from being named the south’s ‘Best Festival’ at the Prestige Business Awards, the independent three-day event will deliver a lineup of over 40 acts, featuring a hand-picked selection of the UK’s finest talent performing alongside artists traveling from across the Atlantic, including a dedicated collective from Texas and hit-makers from the heart of Nashville.
“We’ve watched many of our previous artists go on to play major stages at C2C: Country to Country and The Long Road after appearing on the pier. It’s about catching that lightning in a bottle before they move on to bigger stages.”
Country fans will have the opportunity to browse a curated marketplace of independent traders, offering everything from boutique fashion to custom laser-engraving.
And for those looking to get moving, the festival will host Laura from Dance Fusion, who hosts the popular monthly line dancing nights at The Gaiety. She will be leading the floor, ensuring the energy remains high and the boots remain dusty throughout the weekend.
