'Fantastic' local traders to feature in new Whiteley monthly market launching this weekend

A new monthly market is being launched this weekend to showcase “incredible” local traders.
The Whiteley monthly market will start on Sunday, September 20 at Whiteley Shopping Centre and feature 24 independent traders selling a mix of artisan products, handmade gifts, food, homeware and one-of-a-kind products.
Taking place from 10am to 4pm in the Market Square Car Park, the market will be hosted by award-winning Hampshire events company Dream Empire Events.
Mia Gordon, centre director at Whiteley, said: “We’re excited to welcome Dream Empire Events and a brilliant mix of local traders to Whiteley for the launch of our new monthly market.
“With artisan products, delicious food and unique gifts to discover, it’s a lovely opportunity to shop local and enjoy a day out at Whiteley.”
Shoppers will be able to peruse FidgetSmiths’ 3D printed toys and fidgets, Alesha Bakes’ cakes, Seahorse Secrets’ sea glass artwork, Uniquely Gems’ handmade gemstone jewellery and Fresh from the Fields’ preserves, oils, honey and cheese to name a few.
Once launched, the market will become a fixture on the Whiteley calendar on the third Sunday of every month.

On Sunday, So Sound Choir will be performing to shoppers to mark the launch.
