Excited children got up close and personal with adorable lambs at a popular farm shop.
Families flocked to Westlands Farm Shop in Shedfield this morning to meet their woolly new friends. Guests have sold out tickets for today’s lambing spectacle, getting chance to learn about the farm’s flock of Romney sheep.
Several kids got the chance to have their picture taken with new bundles of joy. Young Tom, whose grandparents own Westlands Farm Shop, was excited to see all the visitors attend.
He told The News: “It’s a way to connect people with sheep who wouldn’t see them on a daily basis. We have four or more stations where you can hold lambs and pet them. You can walk up and down the rows to see them all. This year, we have roughly 170 lambs. Usually, we have around 150.
“We started lambing on March 20, and some were even born yesterday evening. Families can also enjoy the bouncy castle and soft play area.”
Lambing days end tomorrow (April 12). Be sure to click through all the pictures to see if you can spot yourself. Copies of any images from The News can be purchased by calling 0330 403 0033 or by emailing [email protected].
