Hop on board the park and ride to the Great South Run
Dedicated park and ride service is running during the Great South Run weekend
Great South Runners and their supporters are being urged to hop on board the park and ride service which will be operating in Portsmouth that weekend.
The PR4 service is running on October 17 and 18 from the Tipner site to Southsea Common, with buses running every 20 minutes from 7am on Saturday and every 10 minutes from 6.20am on Sunday.
The dedicated service, running on a first-come, first-served basis is aimed at runners and spectators who are visiting from outside or north of the city, making the event a much smoother travel experience.
Fares are £5 for up to five people, making it perfect for car sharing. Portsmouth City Council, which recommends arriving early, as services are busiest from 8am.
