Goodwood makes 'disappointing' decision to cancel annual event that attracts thousands

Goodwood event cancelled

Goodwood has made the ‘disappointing’ decision to cancel one its cherished annual events next year due to significant developments at the estate.

The estate, which also hosts the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival, has confirmed Goodwoof will no longer take place next year, with the team due to get in touch regarding refunds for those who have already purchased tickets.

The announcement, which was posted on social media on Thursday, October 1, comes as the site prepares to undergo “significant developments next year”.

The post said: “Since its inception, Goodwoof has been a celebration of the extraordinary joy that dogs bring to our lives. Over the past five years, it has been our privilege to welcome so many of you to share in that joy, creating memories that will stay with us for years to come.

“Sadly, with significant developments taking place across the Estate next year, we have taken the difficult decision not to stage Goodwoof in 2027. We know this will be disappointing news. Goodwoof would never have become the event it did without the warmth and enthusiasm of our remarkable community. We are deeply grateful to all those who so readily embraced the event, whether on two legs or four.

“If you have purchased tickets for 2027, you will have received an email explaining how your refund will be processed. Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing some of our favourite moments from Goodwoof 2026 and looking back at the people, dogs and stories that made the event so unique. The Goodwoof Team.”
