They will rock you! Young performers ready to take to the stage for Queen spectacular
YOUNG performers are ready to hit the stage this weekend with the promise: We will rock you!
Fareham Live’s Summer Youth Project has chosen the electrifying musical based on the music of Queen and written by Ben Elton as this year’s big seasonal production.
The project is a unique opportunity for young people from the local community to experience the thrill of live theatre, develop their talents and perform on a professional stage. The cast has been busy rehearsing all week ahead of two performances on Saturday, August 16.
“We’re passionate about nurturing the next generation of performers and giving them a platform to shine,” said Jo Bennington, Creative Learning Manager at Fareham Live. “The Summer Youth Project is all about creativity, confidence, and community — and we can’t wait to see what these talented young people achieve.”
Fareham Live, the town’s premier entertainment venue, continues to shine as a cultural cornerstone since its grand opening in September 2024. Having welcomed a host of stars from the sharp-tongued Jimmy Carr to the beloved Iggle Piggle, the 800-seat venue has provided shows for all generations.
Families, friends, and theatre lovers alike are invited to witness the energy and excitement of this youth-led production on Saturday. To book tickets for We Will Rock You or to enquire about any future youth-related activities, visit farehamlive.com
