Fareham Live pantomime cast revealed to include The Chase's Anne Hegerty and beloved dame Josiah Eloi
The show will debut on December 11
Stars such as The Chase’s Anne Hegerty and Changing End’s Josiah Eloi will join the cast of Fareham Live’s Christmas Pantomime, a hilarious production of family-favourite Jack and the Beanstalk.
Anne Hegerty, best known as The Governess on the popular game show The Chase, will be making her Fareham Live debut as the show's villain, while Josiah Eloi returns by popular demand following his hugely successful dame debut at the venue last Christmas.
Joining the pair on stage is seasoned panto comedian, Sean Dodds, as Jack’s hapless brother Simon. Sean’s career has seen him in panto for over a decade whilst elsewhere on stage he has appeared many shows, including Flash Bang Wallop, Oliver! and West Side Story.
This will be Sean’s first performance at Fareham Live. He said: “I’m so excited to be coming to Fareham Live for panto this year. I’ve heard great things about the venue and cannot wait to work with such an amazing cast.”
“Jack and the Beanstalk is a brilliant panto as it has such a strong storyline, and people are always blown away when they get to see the giant on stage!”
Also treading the boards this festive season is Carl Tracey, best known to a generation of young fans as one fifth of children’s musical group Go!Go!Go! in the title role of Jack.
Poppy Valentine will also return to Fareham Live this year as Jack’s feisty sidekick Jill. She performed in last year’s pantomime, Beauty and the Beast.
Peter Watts, who has performed in shows such as Only Fools & Horses: The Musical and Alice in Wonderland, will play Jill’s father Squire O’Dwyer, while Rachel Delooze brings plenty of magic to the stage as Fairy Flora.
Sheena Hulme, Venue Director at Fareham Live, said: “Alongside Anne Hegerty and returning favourite Josiah Eloi, this fantastic cast has all the ingredients for a spectacular festive family show. We know audiences across the region are going to have a wonderful time making magical memories with us.”
The show will run from December 11 to January 3 at Fareham Live, a 800-seat auditorium with a bar and café for show refreshments.
