A Padel Quarter spokesperson said: “From 9am–9pm, come down to Admiral Park, take a look around the club, check out our six indoor courts and enjoy everything happening throughout the day. Expect good vibes, music, giveaways and plenty of atmosphere as we celebrate the launch of Portsmouth’s new home of padel.

“Already got a court booked? Brilliant, we’ll see you there! Haven’t got a booking? Come down anyway! You’re more than welcome to have a look around, grab some food, enjoy the atmosphere and see what Padel Quarter is all about.”

The sport combines elements of both tennis and squash and is played on a small 20mx10m enclosed court with the walls part of the game that the ball can be played against. Padel Qaurter will have a selection of coaching available from junior programmes and social sessions to expert coaching. It will also run a range of competitions and events to welcome people through the doors.
