Christmas is coming to the Historic Dockyard as Love Southsea's indoor festive market returns

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard will be transformed into a Christmas vision on Saturday, November 29 and 30 as it opens its doors for its festive market in collaboration with Love Southsea.

The event, which is free to enter, will take place between 10am and 4pm, and will welcome 60 market stalls and vendors, over 400 local performers across the weekend and the iconic HMS Warrior Christmas lights.

Hannah Prowse, CEO of Portsmouth Historic Quarter, said: “The Christmas Market in Boathouse 5 is a special occasion during the festive period in the dockyard and it’s a real joy to bring back for the third year, with more for the public to enjoy than ever before.

“It’s our role as custodians of the dockyard to ensure it serves a modern-day use that has visible benefit to our community and is a place for everyone to come together and celebrate special moments throughout the year just like this one.”

The Love Southsea Christmas market will take over Boathouse 5 and 7 which will turn into a bustling indoor marketplace showcasing a range of independent businesses from across the area.
