We have compiled a gallery featuring some things to look forward to in 2026 - but rest assured many more dates and events will be added to the calendars in coming months.
Here are some of our city’s major events we are looking forward to over the next year:
1. Icebreaker Festival 2026

2. Portsmouth BookFest 2026
Bookfest will be returning to the city in 2026 with tickets going on sale at the start of the year. The festival will take place throughout February with a children, adult and film programme. 3. Portsmouth Comic Con 2026
Taking place on May 2 and 3, 2026, Portsmouth Comic Con will be returning for yet another year, with Friday Night Dinner's Tom Rosenthal and Doctor Who's Anita Dobson already confirmed as guests. 4. Portsmouth 100
In 2026, the city will be celebrating 100 years of having city status with a packed prgramme of events including the Pride of Portsmouth Lion Trail. The trail will see decorated big cats located across the city forming a free art route across the city during the summer to give locals and visitors the chance to find each one, unlock rewards and discover new places.
