The world bid farewell to Ozzy Osbourne in Birmingham yesterday (July 30, 2025), in what was both a solemn and raucous occasion as the metal community came together to pay their last respects to 'the Prince of Darkness'.
Much like many music icons, though, we’re lucky to have his legacy live on much after his death, with his works with Black Sabbath and his solo career, which featured celebrated guitarists such as Zakk Wylde and the late Randy Rhoads. Ozzy also happened to be one of the few musicians to cross over into another realm of entertainment; not content with appearing in the 1986 horror movie Trick or Treat or cameoing in Little Nicky, we, of course, had the pleasure of the entire Osbourne clan on our televisions through their smash hit MTV reality series.
It would be music, though, that many fans remember Ozzy for, and for those hanging onto their collection of vinyl, we commend you. However, for those curious, there have been several occasions that vinyl featuring the iconic musician has fetched incredible amounts when sold on Discogs.
We’ve picked out 15 of those titles that featured Ozzy Osbourne that have sold for far more than they were originally picked up for, according to the online marketplace, including one Black Sabbath record that at one point went for a four-figure sum.
Read on to find out which record it was.

13. Ozzmosis (1995) - £465.52
The price commanded by this European original pressing of Ozzmosis is a testament to the extreme rarity of vinyl releases during the mid-1990s. With CDs dominating the market, vinyl pressings for major artists like Ozzy were produced in very limited numbers. This scarcity, combined with Ozzmosis being a commercially successful and popular album, makes original vinyl copies incredibly hard to find in good condition, driving up their value significantly for collectors seeking a complete discography on the original format. | Getty Images/Discogs

14. Master Of Reality (1971) - £650.00
This UK Vertigo "reversed swirl" first pressing of Master Of Reality is a significant collector's item, known for its distinctive packaging. Original copies feature a unique embossed "box" sleeve that opens from the top and, crucially, came with a large, fold-out poster of the band. The fragility of both the sleeve design and the poster means very few complete copies survive in pristine condition. Its rarity and the iconic "reversed swirl" Vertigo label contribute to its considerable value among heavy metal and progressive rock collectors. | Getty Images/Discogs

15. Black Sabbath (1970) - £1,600.00
The ultimate prize on your list is the original UK Vertigo "large swirl" first pressing of Black Sabbath's self-titled debut album. This is often considered the birth of heavy metal as we know it, and this specific pressing is the holy grail for many collectors. Its astronomical value comes from its ground-breaking musical significance, its extreme rarity (especially in top condition with its original textured gatefold sleeve), and the highly sought-after Vertigo "large swirl" label, which is synonymous with collectable progressive and heavy rock.
