I stayed in a spacious aparthotel Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden close to Tube station and tourist attractions - perfect for a weekend in the capital
I stayed at the four-star Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden aparthotel in London and had the perfect weekend away.
I stayed at the Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden hotel for two nights and didn’t want to leave because of its central location and spacious room. The hotel offers great apartments with kitchenettes – a nice hybrid between an Airbnb and traditional hotel for a unique stay.
It truly felt like I had my own little home in London for the weekend because of how spacious the room is. The room had a good-sized kitchen, bathroom and a large bedroom area. There was plenty of space and I really enjoyed this aspect of the hotel - it made a change from a standard hotel room.
The hotel is very welcoming, modern and has a relaxed vibe. I ate breakfast at the hotel each morning and it was very quiet, and enjoyable. The food was really good with lots of options to choose from. If you’re looking for a full fry-up you won’t get the likes of this but the hotel did serve some hot food, and cold food too including cereals, croissants and fruit.

The main selling point of the hotel is its fantastic location. It is just steps from Holborn station, which made getting around London incredibly easy. For example one of the days I had a lovely day out in Notting Hill seeing the sights from the Julia Roberts film.
The hotel is within walking distance to Covent Garden, theatres, great restaurants and pubs. So if you want to be in the hustle and bustle of London this hotel is for you. Despite being located in a busy and thriving area, the hotel itself is quiet and I could hear no noise from the street in my room.

There is a Waitrose convenience shop across the street, if you want to make the most out of the kitchenette in your room or grab a snack ahead of your day out. The Ship Tavern is also a very close pub for an evening out.
The staff at the hotel were really friendly, check-in was smooth, and I felt welcomed from the beginning. The location is perfect, the room immaculate and very comfortable. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. If you are looking for a home from home and something a bit more unique than a standard hotel room then I would say this hotel is right up your street.
The hotel is also currently offering a limited-time Proposal Suite in partnership with Hatton Garden jewellers Deluxe Diamonds. Guests receive a free private engagement-ring consultation in Hatton Garden, plus a complimentary bottle of champagne for the first 25 couples who book the Proposal Suite package.
The Proposal Suite service is running from 20 November until 20 December. If love is in the air this festive season, make sure to email [email protected] to book a complimentary ring consultation and gift package with any stay at Citadines Holborn between 19 November and 19 December.
