Portsmouth Victoria celebrate gold and strong performances at regional competition
Swimmers from Portsmouth Victoria Artistic Swimming Club delivered an outstanding performance at the Regional Age Group and Routine Competition held in Haslemere this February, showcasing the dedication and hard work that has become a hallmark of the club.
Ten swimmers from Portsmouth Victoria took part in the competition, achieving fantastic figure scores across the board. Their results reflected the many hours of commitment the athletes put into training each week, as well as the determination and team spirit that runs throughout the club.
The competition provided an opportunity for the swimmers to demonstrate their technical ability in the figures section, where each athlete performs a series of judged movements that test control, strength and precision in the water.
Building on this success, the club went on to compete in the Youth Team routine event. In a sharply executed disco themed performance, the team combined artistry, athleticism and synchronization to deliver a routine that stood out among the competition.
Their efforts were rewarded with Gold in the Youth Team Event, marking a fantastic achievement for Portsmouth Victoria Artistic Swimming Club and a proud moment for swimmers, coaches and supporters alike.
The result highlights the progress the club continues to make and reflects the dedication of the athletes who train tirelessly to improve their skills. For a team made up of young swimmers developing through the sport, the victory represents both a milestone and a motivation for future competitions.
With such promising performances already this season, Portsmouth Victoria Artistic Swimming Club looks forward to building on this success as the swimmers continue their training and prepare for upcoming events.
