Wilson, 17, turned professional earlier this year after gaining a main tour card through Q School.

The former Park Community Community School pupil is still raw and in his early days on the professional circuit.

So far, the teenage prospect has only played eight matches on the tour with his first coming in September.

Yet, he did manage a 2-2 draw in a Championship League group stage meeting with world top-10 player Mark Allen.

Wilson was beaten 6-1 by the Northern Irishman in the UK Championship in his last competition last month.

The young gun has been training at former professional Stephen Lee’s academy as he looks to establish himself on the main tour.
