The Clarets have now conceded just nine goals in 30 Championship matches this season, yet Matt Ritchie twice went close to breaking through their impressive defence.
At the other end, the impressive Andre Dozzell cleared of the line late on from Lucas Pires, but otherwise, the hosts admirably stood firm.
And here are our player ratings...

5. Rob Atkinson - 8
Back into the side after being rested and suffering from illness and forged a hugely encouraging new-look centre-half partnership with Shaughnessy. Power aerially and strong in the tackle, produced one great bit of defending on Jeremy Sarmiento to thwart a Burnley break in the first half. Photo: Jason Brown

6. Connor Ogilvie - 7
An absolute rock down the left flank, while rarely gets beaten in the air. Now under pressure from Bramall’s arrival, but just gets on with things without any fuss. Photo: Jason Brown

7. Freddie Potts - 6
(Replaced by Isaac Hayden on 65 mins) That's successive disappointing games for the West Ham loanee, who, frustratingly, was sloppy at times, gifting possession to Burnley. He'll bounce back, though, Photo: Jason Brown

8. Andre Dozzell - 9 - MOM
Shrugged off an early booking and to produce a superb midfield showing on his comeback. Seemed to be absolutely everywhere, mopping up and keeping possession. He also conjured up a late goal-line clearance to thwart Pires. Photo: Jason Brown
