Goalkeeper Will Norris became the first arrival at Fratton Park as he penned a three-year deal with the Blues.
He was soon joined by central defender Conor Shaughnessy, who completed a free move from Burton – signing a two-year deal.
Indeed, 18 names have been linked with a switch to PO4 as John Mousinho continues his preparations for a busy period in the market.
With players being continuously tipped with a move to the south coast, we’ve taken a look at how Pompey could line-up if the rumours were true.
Here’s how they would shape-up.

9. RW - Gavin Whyte
The winger has been strongly tipped with a move to the south coast following his release by Cardiff. The winger was team-mates with Mousinho at Oxford United and the Blues boss is keen to sign the 27-year-old this summer. Photo: Charles McQuillan

10. CAM - Tommy Leigh
It remains to be seen whether the Blues will make a move for the attacking midfielder after Accrington valued him at £200,000. Mousinho is an admirer of the 22-year-old, who came through the ranks at Fratton Park as a youngster. Photo: George Wood

11. LW - Kusini Yengi
The Australian winger was surprisingly linked with Pompey earlier in the week by FTBL. His more natural position is on the left for Western Sydney Wanderers and netted four goals in 18 A-League games last season. Wanderers’ sporting director Eddy Bosnar revealed his side have received offers for the 24-year-old. Photo: Cameron Spencer

12. ST - Colby Bishop
Pompey are increasingly confident the striker will lead the line for Mousinho’s side next season despite Championship links. Fans believe his visit with Michael Eisner will ensure he remains at Fratton Park next season - helping to boost their promotion hopes next season. Photo: Jason Brown
