We’ve gone through all the names which emerged last month, and given you the inside track on how strong the interest was – and how things ended up.

9. Jevani Brown
John Mousinho confirmed his admiration for the Exeter striker, but weren't interested in meeting the asking price for a player who's out of contract in the summer. Has since been charged with assault to muddy the waters over a future deal. Photo: Pete Norton

10. Bailey Wright
John Mousinho confirmed his admiration of his powerful former Preston team-mate with a move explored but it was Championship Rotherham who won his loan signature. Photo: Frank Reid

11. Paddy Lane
A player Pompey would've thought they'd have no chance of signing in the summer with Brighton and West Ham keen. But the Blues pounced as he featured more infrequently under Scott Brown and are delighted to have landed the attacking talent. Photo: Jez Tighe

12. Nathan Thompson
