Here's how the Pompey XI fared against the National League outfit at The Hive.
9. Alfie Bridgman - 7
Pompey's best performer in the first half with his energy catching the eye down both flanks. Delivered the assist for Jewitt-White's goal on a satisfying night's work for the Crookhorn lad. Photo: Jason Brown
10. Dan Gifford - 7
Fully deserved his winner after grafting away throughout the night as we've seen through a pre-season campaign where the teenager's had a lot on his shoulders. Some bright moments including one first-half drive which Gifford took early and wasn't far over the top. Denied a penalty and then a whisker wide with a drive after restart - before his moment arrived late on with a clinical effort. Photo: Jason Brown
11. Colby Bishop - 6
Getting some much-needed minutes into his legs after a 45-minute runout against Coventry. Played within himself but used his nous and rarely came off second best in challenges aerially or on the deck. Photo: Portsmouth FC
12. Haji Mnoga - 6
Rugged and competitive after his second-half introduction. A couple of really impressive interventions in the box as he faces up to the challenge of Morrison's arrival. Photo: Jason Brown
