John Mousinho used 22 players, playing a different team in each half, to ensure each player was handed a 45 minute outing in their opening pre-season fixture.
Man of the match Adrian Segecic broke the deadlock on 13 minutes and then Paddy Lane extended their lead in the 64th minutes to complete the victory.
And here are our Pompey player ratings...

5. Connor Ogilvie - 6
(Replaced by Jacob Farrell on 46 mins) Produced an angled left-footed shot on 12 minutes which was brilliantly beaten away by the keeper. A number of excellent interceptions, having spotted danger, and, as ever, defensively very strong. Photo: Jason Brown

6. Marlon Pack - 7
(Replaced by Andre Dozzell on 46 mins) Played a key role in Pompey’s opener, picking out Waddingham in the build up to Segecic’s goal. Produced some wonderful cross-field passes and generally dictated the Blues’ play from deep with his precision distribution. Photo: Jason Brown

7. Terry Devlin - 6
(Replaced by Zak Swanson on 46 mins) Back in the centre of midfield, where his energy and drive were put to excellent use, particularly when pressing the opposition defence. Fired an early right-footed effort narrowly over the bar from outside the box. Photo: Charlie Crowhurst

8. Adrian Segecic - 8 - MOM
(Replaced by Ciaran Martin on 46 mins) Nutmegged an opponent within 80 seconds of his first outing in a Pompey shirt to set the tone for an excellent display. Lovely finish from Waddingham’s lay-off to open the scoring and substitute keeper Craig Ross also produced two good saves to deny him further. Busy, energetic and a hugely encouraging debut.
