The Blues’ season is all but over with three games to play – after their faint play-off hopes officially ended with a 1-1 draw with Morecambe.
But one positive is they can get a head start in their summer preparations.
It’s set to be another pre-season of immense change off the field as Danny Cowley looks to re-shape his side to enhance their promotion credentials.
The club currently have 17 players not contracted beyond this term, and decisions need to made sooner or later on their futures.
Here’s what we think the club should do – and what individuals need to do to secure success next term.

13. Denver Hume
Hume has blown hot and cold since his January arrival from Sunderland while battling injury issues. Next year he has to prove why Pompey invested in the left-back why winning the starting place from Connor Ogilvie. Will have to improve his defensive performances as a result. Photo: The News

14. Lim Vincent
Vincent will be looking to put his injury issues behind him next season while adapting to senior football. His task will be to prove competition to Ogilvie and Hume unless a loan spell away could await. Photo: Portsmouth FC

15. Louis Thompson
Thompson has put his injury woes behind him during the second half of the season and has earned a new deal. However, he must continue to maintain his fitness throughout the season if he's to be called upon and not replaced. Photo: JPIMedia

16. Joe Morrell
Morrell has proved to be the best summer signing of last year, but he has to maintain his consistency next term and not drop off the boil as he has done at times this season. Photo: JPIMedia
