Since succeeding Paul Cook in the hot seat in June 2017, Jackett's led the Blues to Checkatrade Trophy glory – something he’ll be aspiring to do again this term once it resumes, with a final against Salford City on the agenda. What's more, Pompey are firmly in the frame to enjoy a Championship return when the campaign recommences, sitting fourth in the League One table and two points outside the automatic promotion places. In total, Jackett has made 41 signings, with some faring better than others. Here, sports writer Will Rooney selects his best XI from those who have arrived under Jackett – but do you agree?
9. FW - Brett Pitman
A major coup when signed from Ipswich in July 2017. Has bagged 42 goals in 99 appearances, with 25 in his first campaign. Now a bit-part player but proved to be one of Jackett's best pieces of business. | Freelance Photo: Joe Pepler
10. LW - Ronan Curtis
A bargain buy of around £100k from Derry in June 2018. Has made hurtling progress at PO4, scoring 25 goals in 92 outings and becoming a Republic of Ireland international. Pompey's prized asset after penning long-term deal last month. | Freelance Photo: Joe Pepler
11. ST - Ellis Harrison
Jackett got his man at the third time of asking last summer from Ipswich. Ability to stretch the game has helped Pompey this season, while he's proved a potent focal point and prepared to take a battering for the team. Ten goals in 37 outings a decent return. | Freelance Photo: Jason Brown
