Danny Cowley will be left with Alex Bass and teenager Toby Stewart as the only two keepers contracted to the club beyond next season, with a decision still to be made on January arrival Ollie Webber.
This will prompt the Blues boss to look elsewhere for a new goalkeeper to replace the Republic of Ireland international.
We’ve chosen six stoppers the Pompey head coach boss could look at and the chances they have of arriving at Fratton Park in the summer.

5. Jack Bonham
Club: Stoke; Age: 28; Appearances this season: 10; Clean sheets: 2; Goals conceded: 13. Verdict: Joined Stoke last summer and has found himself as number two at the Bet365 Stadium behind Joseph Bursik. Arriving from Gillingham, he could be tempted with a return to League One with regular game time at Pompey and with a potential promotion push at stake. Photo: Pete Norton

6. Jamie Cumming
Club: Chelsea (on loan at MK Dons); Age: 22; Appearances this season: 36; Clean sheets: 10; Goals conceded: 39. Verdict: Cumming impressed in the first half of the season with Gillingham before joining MK Dons on loan in January. It could be a tough ask for Cowley to bring the 22-year-old back to League One next season as he is viewed as a potential target for the number three shirt at Chelsea. Game time may be viewed as the priority for the young stopper as he continues his development. Photo: Pete Norton

7. Josh Vickers
Club: Rotherham; Age: 26; Appearances this season: 20; Clean sheets: 11; Goals conceded: 12. Verdict: Vickers has spent most of his time at the Millers as number two behind Viktor Johansson and has again been in and out of goal this season. He has worked under Cowley before at Lincoln and if he feels game time might come at a premium in the Championship with Rotherham, it could pave the way for a potential reunion with the Blues boss.
