Portsmouth make their mind up on hotshot striker after Reading and Bristol City impressions
Tayo Singerr has registered two senior appearances for Pompey after coming through the ranks at Fratton Park.
Pompey have announced academy talent Tayo Singerr has penned a first professional contract at Fratton Park.
The 18-year-old has risen through the ranks at PO4 and made his senior bow in August’s Carabao Cup defeat to Reading. While John Mousinho’s men fell to a 2-1 loss to the Royals, it was a memorable evening for the young striker, who netted in front of the Fratton End on debut from the bench.
After an impressive campaign with Moneyfields, which saw him net 14 goals in 18 outings, the forward was recalled from his loan stint amid the Blues’ injury issues and was named in the squad to face Bristol City on New Year’s Day. The head coach rewarded Singerr with a late substitute appearance at Ashton Gate, although Pompey went on to fall to a 5-0 defeat.
Now, the academy graduate has committed his future to the Blues, penning his first professional terms.
Pompey announce key decision over young talent

And it’s a decision which Mousinho insisted is fully deserved after an outstanding breakthrough campaign on the south coast.
The Pompey boss said: ‘Tayo has made a big step up this season and has featured for the first team on merit.
‘It was great to see him score his first goal in senior football against Reading, while he has also shone in the men’s game while out on loan.
‘The progress Tayo has made means he fully deserves this deal and we are all excited to see how his career continues to develop.’
