John Mousinho has left the door open for a possible free-agent recruit following a fresh injury blow to Keshi Anderson.
The January arrival suffered a hamstring blow in training last week, which will keep him out of action for 6-8 weeks.
His set-back adds to a growing list of absentees on the wing for the Blues, who are already without Franco Umeh, Harvey Blair, Josh Murphy and Florian Bianchini due to injury.
There is spaces to fill - should Pompey turn to any out-of-contract players - with the Blues only filling 23 spots in their 25-man EFL squad.
If Mousinho’s side were to utilise to free-agent market during the second half of the season, these are the standout wingers who are without a club at present.

2. Ryan Kent
Kent is one of the most recognisable names on the list given his record with Rangers, where he enjoyed a successful five-year stay. Following his departure from Ibrox in 2023, the 29-year-old has also spent time in Turkey and in the MLS but is now a free agent after exiting Seattle in October. 3. Nathan Redmond
The 31-year-old has a wealth of Championship and Premier League experience and recently turned out for Sheffield Wednesday. After his exit from Burnley in the summer, the winger made the move to Hillsborough in November, where he featured seven times in all competitions. After opting against a new deal in the Steel City, Redmond departed the Owls at the end of January and is now on the lookout for a new club. | Getty Images

4. Jonathan Lewis
The eight-cap United States international enjoyed a successful career in the MLS with New York City and Colorado Rapids. The 28-year-old made the move to League One outfit Barnsley for the second half of last season before departing Oakwell in the summer.
