Portsmouth faithful continue relentless backing in show of force ahead of key trips to Millwall and Wrexham
Pompey have won just three games on the road this season ahead of Saturday’s trip to Millwall.
Pompey returned to winning ways on Tuesday as they put relegation rivals Charlton Athletic to the sword at The Valley.
It continues the Blues’ upturn in form, which has seen them lose just three of their previous 12 Championship matches - a run that stretches back to the beginning of December.
Tuesday’s triumph also represented the third away win of the campaign, with their fortunes improving on the road having picked up seven points out of a possible 12 on their travels in recent weeks.
After making the short trip to the capital in midweek, the Fratton faithful are set to descend on south London once again, with Pompey coming up against promotion-chasing Millwall on Saturday.
Pompey sell out Millwall and Wrexham in show of force
Blues supporters quickly snapped up tickets in the North Stand at The Dan, with the 3,000 seat allocation now sold out.
Pompey will be looking to do the double over the Championship’s third-placed outfit after claiming a 3-1 win in the reverse fixture in November.
Zak Swanson and Jordan Williams were both on the scoresheet in the impressive triumph at Fratton Park.
Away days keep coming thick and fast for the Blues, who are then back on the road next week.
Mousinho’s troops make their first trip in 40 years to the Racecourse Ground to face Wrexham, who are currently on the cusps of the play-off positions.
Despite the near 500-mile round trip on a Tuesday evening, the Frattoon faithful will continue their relentless backing as 1,300 supporters make the journey to North Wales.
The Blues revealed at the end of January that their allocation in the Wrexham Lager Stand had been quickly snapped up, with a sell-out away end expected.
Pompey boss on Fratton faithful’s ‘amazing’ backing

There were 2,504 supporters who made the trip to The Valley in midweek to see the Blues claim just their third away win of the campaign.
And Mousinho praised the Fratton faithful’s unrelenting support and called for that backing to continue for the remainder of the season.
Speaking on the club’s official media channels, the head coach said: ‘I’m really pleased. It’s the second time they’ve made the trip and obviously on a Tuesday night, it’s going to be incredibly difficult to get themselves home.
‘They’ve got another trip close to here on Saturday and then a really long one on Tuesday (against Wrexham).
‘Brilliant to start off that run of three away games with a win and obviously it was an amazing moment at the end but a brilliant game as well.
‘As always, a massive thanks to the punters for coming out and paying their money, doing the trip twice and we desperately, desperately need their support for the rest of the season.’
