Pompey are back in Championship action this weekend as they make the trip to bottom-of-the-table Sheffield Wednesday.
The Blues will be searching for maximum points at Hillsborough to move clear of the relegation zone following their 5-0 defeat to Bristol City last time out in the league.
However, John Mousinho will be without nine players for the journey to the Steel City as injuries continue to hamper his squad.
Harvey Blair and Franco Umeh were the latest to join the growing list of absentees, while there will be some relief out wide following the arrival of Millenic Alli on Wednesday.
We’ve taken a look at the latest injury situation at Fratton Park and when fans can expect members of Mousinho’s side to return.

5. Hayden Matthews
The centre-back suffered an ankle injury in the 5-0 defeat to Bristol City on New Year’s Day, with Mousinho later explaining the extent of the Aussie’s latest set-back. Matthews is expected to miss 8-10 weeks of action, with a return as early as March. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages

6. Josh Murphy
Murphy is another member of Mousinho’s squad who has had a stop-start campaign on the south coast. The winger hasn’t been seen since the 1-1 draw with Derby County almost a month ago and still isn’t expected to complete his comeback for another three weeks. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages

7. Josh Knight
Knight is one of the Blues’ longer-term absentees and has been forced to sit out more than a month-and-a-half’s worth of action. After initial bruising to his back settled, Mousinho revealed a fresh set-back for the defender, with scans revealing a stress fracture in the back. A timescale of 4-6 weeks was set last week, meaning a return in mid-February could be on the cards. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages

8. Thomas Waddingham
There is light at the end of the tunnel for the Aussie, who hasn’t been seen since August. The striker suffered a quad issue in training prior to September’s south-coast derby with Southampton, which has kept him sidelined for the past four months. Mousinho, though, is hopeful Wadingham could be back in the fold in mid-February as he bids to end the season on a positive note. | ProSportsImages
