Portsmouth youngster Alfie Stanley returns to Bognor following Jordy Hiwula signing
Alfie Stanley has returned to Bognor following his Pompey recall for Tuesday night’s visit to Gillingham.
The 18-year-old forward was on the bench at Priestfield Stadium as cover for the injured Ellis Harrison.
However, he has since returned to Nyewood Lane following the Blues’ capture of free-agent Jordy Hiwula.
The former Coventry front man has signed for Pompey on a short-term deal until January and will be in the squad for Saturday’s trip to Sunderland.
Highly-rated Stanley has made two first-team squads this season, having also travelled to Stevenage for the Blues’ Carabao Cup game at the end of August.
He’s been on loan at Bognor since mid-September, making seven appearances for the Isthmian League premier division side.
The Rocks’ next game is at home to Margate on Saturday.
