So the fact that a second volume which catalogues their woes is being readied ahead of Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night shows there’s no sign of the situation getting better.
Indeed, heading into the Cardiff game on Tuesday night, six players were ruled out for the trip to Wales.
Now, with focus firmly on the Owls, there’s serious doubts about three other members of John Mousinho’s first-team ranks, after Paddy Lane, Nicolas Schmid and Jordan Williams all had to be withdrawn early during the 2-0 defeat to the Bluebirds.
That’s hardly ideal ahead of another big game for the Championship’s current bottom-placed side.
Here’s what we know about all the Blues’ injuries - plus those currently impacting the Wednesday ahead of Friday night’s kick-off.

5. Conor Shaughnessy - Out
The defender has been absent since mid-August and has featured in only two games this season because of a troublesome calf injury. The Irishman is two weeks into a 4-6 week recovery programme. | National World

6. Zak Swanson - Doubt
The defender sat out the QPR and Cardiff games with a heel injury. The Sheffield Wednesday game has been pencilled in for his comeback - but whether Zwanson makes it back in time remains to be seen. | National World

7. Jacob Farrell - Out
The Aussie's first season in English football has been hampered by a knee injury. Last week we were told the defender would be out for a further 2-4 weeks. | National World

8. Ibane Bowat - Out
The 22-year-old centre-back ruptured the patella tendon in his right knee as he took a shot on goal during training in September. The injury required surgey and has ruled him out for the remainder of the season. | National World
