Big Portsmouth favourite becomes latest popular player to stay at Fratton Park
The full-back joined the Blues on a free transfer from Arsenal in July 2022
Zak Swanson has committed his future to Pompey.
The popular full-back has signed a new two-year deal, following Marlon Pack and Connor Ogilvie in pledging themselves to the Blues this summer after being out of contract.

It’s a huge boost to John Mousinho, who had been desperate to keep the former Arsenal youngster after registering his best season in a Pompey shirt.
Swanson’s campaign was cut short in March when he underwent a knee operation, putting him out of action for the final eight matches as they successfully remained in the Championship.
With a recovery timeframe initially put at four months, the defender faces a battle to be able to feature in Pompey’s pre-season programme, which begins on Thursday.
Nonetheless, the 25-year-old remains at Fratton Park after 111 games and 6 goals for the club since joining from the Gunners on a free transfer in July 2022.
Certainly Swanson was among Pompey’s best performers last season, albeit largely asked to serve in the unfamiliar role of left-back, where he truly shone.
Mousinho will be looking for Swanson to push for the right-back spot next season, particularly with the possibility of Terry Devlin being sold after sweeping the Player of the Season awards.
Pack signed a new 12-month deal in May, while the Blues’ longest-serving player - Ogilvie - extended his stay by two years last week.
