Portsmouth striking prospect among the goals after handed Bognor outing against Chichester

Pompey striking prospect Alfie Stanley netted on his Rocks debut against Chichester City last night.

Stanley had been an unused substitute in Pompey’s opening-day Carabao Cup success at Stevenage last weekend.

He also missed out on match action at Gosport on Tuesday night, when Kenny Jackett elevated the Pompey XI fixture into a first-team occasion.

And the striker was given the opportunity to impress for Bognor in Friday night’s friendly against Chichester.

Stanley netted the Rocks’ second goal on 35 minutes, before withdrawn just after half-time.

There was also an outing for Irish winger Teggart, who featured for Pompey in the Leasing.com Trophy last season.

He was introduced at half-time for ex-Blues full-back Calvin Davis to feature in the second half.

Certainly there was a familiar Pompey look about Bognor, with Ethan Robb starting the match. The former Academy midfielder signed for the club on Thursday.

And Bradley Lethbridge appeared for the final 29 minutes, having joined the Rocks in the summer following his Fratton Park release.
