John Mousinho’s men surrendered position for all three of the League One side’s goals, while they also conceded in the opening 90 seconds of each half.
Thomas Waddingham came off the bench to reduce the deficit in stoppage time with a header from John Swift’s cross, but it couldn’t mask a poor showing.

2. Nicolas Schmid - 6
Place now under threat following the signing of Bielica, but had nothing to do other than fetch the ball out of the net on two occasions. Largely asked to distribute with his feet and did that well overall. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages

3. Terry Devlin - 6
(Replaced by Josh Knight on 61 mins) - Took a knock to his left knee early on, but thankfully able to carry on. Looked ring rusty, perhaps understandable in only his second friendly outing following a knock, and clearly still feeling his way back.

4. Conor Shaughnessy - 6
(Replaced by Hayden Matthews on 78 mins) Rarely troubled but, frustratingly, his usually reliable ball-playing skills often deserted him, with several awful passes out from the back when not under pressure. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages
