The thriving attacking Portsmouth target set to be available in January amid Sheffield United, West Brom, Preston and Bristol City interest
The former Arsenal starlet is making a mark with Bolton Wanderers in League One on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion - a host of Championship sides are eyeing the man Pompey have trailed.
He’s a player who’s previously been on Pompey’s transfer radar.
And the flying winger is now making a big impression in the right-sided position, where the Blues are struggling to find a consistent performer this term.
Championship sides eyeing Brighton talent watched by Pompey boss
The goals and assists are flowing for Brighton’s Amario Cozier-Duberry along with the plaudits and accolades, as he makes a big impression while on loan with Bolton Wanderers.
The man John Mousinho watched in person last year as he pondered a loan move for the 20-year-old, is hitting the headlines in spectacular fashion in League One.
It’s seven goals and as many assists so far for the Londoner, who spent last season on loan with Championship rivals Blackburn.
The intensity of those goal contributions flew through the roof last month with two match-winning finishes and as many assists - a return which saw Cozier-Duberry named League One player of the month.
And last weekend the former Arsenal youngster’s form went into the stratosphere, as he carried out a one-man demolition job on Port Vale. Cozier-Duberry was involved in all four goals with two goals and two assists in the 4-0 romp, to help Steven Schumacher’s side into the League One play-off places.
Schumacher lauded the player’s success, after his player of the month success.
He told Bolton’s official website: ‘Amario has been different class. To be fair, he's been good all season and in the last month he's come up with some really big moments for us and been the one who's taken the headlines.
‘He’s been excellent since the day he came in during pre-season and we've loved working with him. He deserves everything that he's got because he's a young player who is desperate to learn and desperate to get better. It looks like he's really enjoying his football at the moment, so we want that to continue for as long as possible.’
Cozier-Duberry’s impressive returns aren’t going unnoticed, however, with a host of Championship sides said to be tracking the player.
Goals and assists flowing for Cozier-Duberry
The likes of Sheffield United, West Brom, Preston and Bristol City are all said to be keen, with Brighton having a January recall clause on Cozier-Duberry, as is standard with loans.
Whether Pompey will renew their interest in the player is another intriguing element in the narrative surrounding the player.
The talent who’s helped his side to four league wins on the spin predominantly operates down the right flank, where the Blues have struggled for a consistent option this season.
With Matt Ritchie departing in the summer, new £500,000 signing Franco Umeh and Harvey Blair were being viewed as the front-line options for the position - but both have been slowed by injuries. Meanwhile, loanee Florian Bianchini has struggled to find strong form since joining from Swansea, with his ongoing stay likely to be reviewed in the new year.
Pompey have also previously taken a young loan player from Brighton, with Mark O’Mahony spending last term at PO4 - making 13 appearances and bagging three goals.
