Exclusive:Adrian Segečić transfer latest as Premier League and Championship clubs clamour for Portsmouth attacker
Clubs from the Premier League, Championship, Europe and MLS are keen on Pompey’s prized attacking asset. Here’s the latest this afternoon.
Adrian Segečić is happy to stay at Pompey amid mounting interest in the attacking ace.
The News understands the Blues’ top scorer is content at Fratton Park, despite a host of English and continental clubs being keen to land the rising star this summer.
Premier League and Championship interest - but Segečić happy at Fratton

Premier League and Championship outfits are closely following Segečić, after a breakout season in the second tier following his arrival from Sydney FC.
An outstanding finale to the campaign saw the 22-year-old bag five goals and three assists to carry John Mousinho’s side to safety.
That came among a total of 11 goals and five assists as Segečić topped the Pompey goal charts, with further recognition when he was named April’s Championship player of the month.
The man who has changed national allegiances from Australia to Croatia has seen his stock soar as a result of his form.
Pompey now have a player rated in the £4m-£5m category, 12 months on from landing Segečić for approximately £250,000 in training compensation.
As well as English sides, teams from across Europe are keeping tabs on the attacker, there’s also long-held interest from the MLS.
The good news for the Fratton Faithful is Segečić isn’t agitating for a move in the slightest, as he enjoys life at PO4 and the progress he’s making at Pompey.
The former Dordrecht man is settled in the city and feels he’s making positive strides under Mousinho’s guidance.
If interest elsewhere for Segečić was to manifest into a sizable bid for the player that would then give Pompey a decision to make, with two years to run on his existing agreement.
Likewise, there’s the reality more powerful form from the left-footer in the second tier would see his market value grow.
There is also the prospect of a senior international breakthrough for Croatia after picking up under-21 recognition, which would also inflate his price tag.
At present though Segecic has looked sharp in the formative stages of pre-season, with the intensity set to go through the gears as Pompey head off on their overseas training camp.
And if the fans’ favourite was to remain at PO4 beyond the summer transfer window, that’s something he’d be more than happy about.
