Portsmouth set to sign ex-Stockport midfielder after beating off Bolton Wanderers, Sheffield Wednesday and Lincoln
The 26-year-old was a pivotal player in Stockport’s third-placed finish in League One last season
Pompey are expected to unveil Odin Bailey as their summer recruitment ramps up.
The central midfielder will move to Fratton Park on a free transfer following his departure from League One play-off finalists Stockport.

And with the Blues also pursuing Rocco Shein and Marko Milovanovic, there is now encouraging movement in the transfer window.
Bailey made 57 appearances and scored six times in all competitions for Stockport last season as they finished third in League One, only to suffer a 4-1 defeat to Bolton in the play-off final at Wembley.
The 26-year-old subsequently left the Hatters upon the expiry of his contract, with Lincoln, Bolton and Sheffield Wednesday among interested clubs.
However, it is understood Pompey have won the race to capture the former Salford man after three seasons with Stockport.
It marks a reunion with Rich Hughes, who previously recruited Bailey in January 2020 while serving as director of football at Forest Green Rovers.
At the time, the midfielder was on Birmingham’s books and went on to total 43 appearances and six goals over two loan successful spells with the then-League Two club.
Pompey are keen to bolster their midfield following the departure of Andre Dozzell and with Mark Kosznovszky expected to be sidelined by an ACL injury until December.
