It probably seemed a good idea at the time - a pre-Christmas trip to Swansea to cheer on the Blues!
But you wonder how many of the 1,153 Pompey fans who made the arduous trek to south Wales ended up regretting it.
A dismal 1-0 defeat at the hands of a relegation rival, seemingly endless traffic jams before and after the game, plus detours to navigate as the impact of road closures and Storm Bram were felt, you’d be forgiven for wishing you had just stay at home and watched the game on the telly!
As you all know, though, no-one said supporting Pompey was going to be easy.
And for every fan who wished they had resisted the temptation to make the midweek trip, you’d easily find four or five others who’d say they’d do it all again in a heartbeat. Not a problem at all!
With that in mind, we salute all those fans who made the 380-mile round trip to Swansea.
