Adrian Segecic’s memorable hat-trick earned Pompey an eye-catching win at Stoke in their penultimate match of the season.
Already comfortably the Blues’ leading scorer, the Croatian under-21 international handed the Blues a first-half lead when he lashed home a left-footed cross from Harvey Blair’s excellent pass.
The unmarked Lamine Cisse headed home an equaliser just after the break, only for Segecic to restore Pompey’s advantage when steering home substitute Josh Murphy’s left-wing cross.
He then wrapped up his hat-trick - and victory - with a low left-footed shot from outside the box as the visitors claimed a 3-1 victory to move up to 18th.

2. Josef Bursik - 6
(Replaced by Ben Killip on four minutes) First league appearance since November and forced off after just four minutes. At the time the issue was unclear, but the man given a rather chance in place of Schmid had to leave the pitch. | Stephen Flynn/ProSportsImages

3. Jordan Williams - 7
Up against Stoke’s newly-crowned Player of the Season Sorba and did a decent job, keeping a tight reign on the talented left winger. Considering he is the Blues’ third-choice right-back, he really is an excellent replacement and late-season flurry of appearances have given a reminder of what he brings. | Pro Sports Images

4. Madiodio Dia - 7
Bounced back well from Coventry, when he was substituted at half-time. Beginning to grow nicely into his role with the Blues, at one point almost pulling off a superb cross-field pass in the first half, while also passing with his unfavoured right foot. Encouraging end to the season | Getty Images
